I had a conversation with my friend last night, and I think he finds it amusing that I’m sharing my thoughts and documenting my journey. I know it wasn’t meant in a negative way, even though he jokingly said he would write about our conversation. I encouraged him to do it—though he probably won’t. I think it was his way of showing he understands what I’m doing.
I don’t usually share every conversation I have, but I feel this moment is worth mentioning. It’s important to acknowledge the different perspectives and thoughts people might have, and to address them with understanding—because life is real, and so are our connections.
Letter to my friend Hunter
Dear Dost,
Your brother mentioned he’s coming over to my house today (10/1/2025), and as I write this, I’m waiting for him.
I want to tell you how much you mean to me. I know I may sometimes seem distant, but I want you to always remember that I’m here for you. I will cheer you on and support you in everything you do because I trust you to make choices that reflect your kind and thoughtful nature.
I may not have the strength to take away your burdens or ease your pain, but I want you to know that you’re never alone in your journey. If you ever feel lost, I hope you read this and remember how deeply you are cared for.
Everything you’ve done has a purpose, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. You have a beautiful heart, and you face life with honesty, courage, and sincerity.
I’m writing this letter because I want to leave something for you to hold onto—something to remind you that I’ll always be here, even if I can’t always be by your side. So if you ever find yourself surrounded by silence, know that I’m still here, quietly cheering for you.
